I'm working in a group of 3 with Ben Brearley and Dom Ellis on a slasher film opening with the working title of Black Nightmare, and on this blog you'll see all the research and planning behind our production.

SWEDE PITCH

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
 (2001, Chris Columbus)

Characters: Harry, Hagrid
Costumes:
Harry- glasses.
Hagrid- long haired beard, large coat.
I've chosen this scene because it can be recreated in a humorous way but at the same time interpret the film.

Here are the two characters with a high angle for Hagrid to show his power and a low angle for Harry to show his vulnerability. However in my swede I'd like to switch it round to make Hagrid the small character and Harry the large 1 and switch the camera angles round to try make it comical.

Props: shotgun, birthday cake, umbrella, door,
Characters: uncle vernon, harry, hagrid

In this scene Hagrid is kicking the door down which i think would be easy to swede because we could do someone knocking on a door with a funny tune and then Harry just answering the door instead of it getting kicked down.

Props: broomstick
This scene plays a key part the Harry's character as it establishes what he's talented at in the film.

In this scene we can just have someone standing on a broomstick with wind sound effects as if he's going through air then dramatically falling off but with a much more dramatic fall than the one in this scene to make it more comical.
