I'm working in a group of 3 with Ben Brearley and Dom Ellis on a slasher film opening with the working title of Black Nightmare, and on this blog you'll see all the research and planning behind our production.

FINAL CUT PRO X: FIRST IMPRESSIONS

This software was much clearer than the final cut express version and was easy to use. However, it doesn't have as much variety in tools , and for example there's much more transitions in final cut express and i think it's a much more advanced piece of software, I'd prefer to use final cut express rather than final cut pro but it would be easier to start with pro then work our way to express.

This is the music and sound tool where you can pick a sound or music track from a large variety already on the software or from your own and upload it and use it for a scene in your film, or over multiple scenes to form an audio bridge.

Here's the all video and audio tool which is basically the effects you can add to your film for example you can choose a blurred effect to go over one of your scene, or with the audio form and echo with the audio in the scene and choose from many other effects to add to your film.
This is the titles tool where you can add the titles at the start of the film and subtitles at the end, it gives you a wide range of fonts and designs to choose from.
This is the screen in the middle of the final cut pro software where you can watch the scenes either by themselves or as all the scenes grouped together, it has a play, pause and skip button to do so.

This is the select tool which to click when you want to select individual takes for example.

This is the library where the filmed shots go when they're uploaded from here you can drag them down to group up with the other shots , or if there's any shots that aren't right you can delete them before adding them to the film.
This is where the scenes are all group togther to form a structured film here you can move the shots around to place in order or even edit them if they aren't correct.
